
Mexican Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (50-1-2, 34 Ko’s), will defend his middleweight title of the World Boxing Council against Daniel “Miracle Man” Jacobs (35-2, 29 ko’s), tomorrow night, during the celebrations of “Cinco de Mayo”, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and with transmission through the DAZN platform.
“Canelo” is an experienced, seasoned 28 year old champion, at his peak. During his career, he has conquered several world titles and has faced quality counts fighters like: Austin “No Doubt” Trout, Sugar Shane Mosley, Alfredo “Perro” Angulo, Erislandy “The American Dream” Lara and Liam “Beefy” Smith, Gennady “GGG” Goloovkin and Floyd Mayweather.
Jacobs aged 31 from Brooklyn New York, is recognized as one of the best middleweights, in spite of having been out of the sport for 19 months due to a battle against cancer that he managed to courageously overcome. He`s faced and fought superb opponents including: Jarrod Fletcher, Peter “Kid Chocolate” Quillin, Gennady Golovkin, Sergiy Derevyanchenko, among others.
This Friday the official weighing of the evening took place.
“Canelo” weighted 159.5 pounds, while Jacobs was 160 pounds.
