
The World Boxing Council middleweight champion, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (50-1-2, 34 KO’s), will take another significant step in his successful career to become the undisputed champion, when he takes on the American Daniel “Miracle Man” Jacobs (35- 2, 29 KO’s), during the week of the “Cinco de Mayo” festivities at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, with live broadcast on DAZN.
Both Canelo and Jacobs, participated this Wednesday in the first press conference held in New York, to promote the much anticipated fight on May 4.

“I want to thank everybody for being here and supporting me in my career. I am very proud to represent my country, thanks to Golden Boy, and Canelo Team for their support. I always like challenges and Daniel Jacobs is the next,” said Álvarez.
“We are preparing to come out of this with the hand raised. It’s going to be a difficult fight,as his style is complicated, but with the experience I have, I can adapt to anything. I’m ready to win on May 4th.”
Jacobs commented: “Thank you, New York. Long live Brooklyn! Long live Mexico! thanks to Canelo for accepting this fight. It’s for the fans, I am from Brooklyn and my life was never easy, therefore we work hard for this moment. It is very exciting for me, and I’ll see you on May 4th.”
President and Chief Executive of Golden Boy Promotions, Oscar de la Hoya, comment that he expects a total sold out for this fight, and confirmed that the tickets went on sale this morning.
