
Saúl ‘Canelo’ Álvarez fights Jermell Charlo defending his undisputed super middleweight crown, on September 30, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
After triumphing against the British John Ryder at the Akron stadium in Jalisco, Mexico, the superstar will return to the United States to present his 168-pound championships for the third time against one of the undisputed champions.
Jermell Charlo, 33, the undisputed super welterweight champion, has a great track record, coming into this fight after defeating the tough Argentine Brian Castaño.
The American has a record of 35-1-1, with 19 knockouts and it will be his debut at super middleweight.
Among his most relevant rivals have been Brian Castaño, Austin Trout, Gabriel Rosado and Tony Harrison.
For his part, Canelo has a 7-1-1 record in fights in the month of September, including his last win against Gennady Golovkin, in Las Vegas. His only two losses to date was against Floyd Mayweather and Dmtry Bibol.
Canelo wants to show that he is still one of the best pound for pound, which is why he is having a great training camp, under the command of the outstanding trainer Eddy Reynoso.
