Super middleweight champion of the World Boxing Council, Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez (55-1-2, 37KO’s), fights WBO champion Billy Joe Saunders (30-0, 14 KO’s), Saturday night, as part of the celebration of Cinco de Mayo in the United States, at the Dallas Cowboys stadium in Arlington, Texas.
After some testy comments about the size of the ring, the expected face-to-face between the two fighters was held, in the majestic stadium that will host the fight. Both exchanged scowls, wolffish grins and some banter before the batter.
“I am totally focused on winning on Saturday. Saunders has talked a lot and made excuses but that doesn’t affect me. I’m just going to get in the ring and do what I have to do, ”Canelo succinctly commented.
“I have my own way of facing the fight and ‘Canelo’ will too. I will enter the ring to do my best and seek victory. I am at the top of my form, I have had 30 fights; I am undefeated, I won all the titles, I was a two-weight world champion, so I can say I’m on top, fighting one of the best,” suggested Saunders.
