The highly anticipated first defense of the youngest interim champion in boxing history, Camila “Magnificent” Zamorano, has been postponed.
Originally scheduled for October 18 at Arena Sonora in Hermosillo, the fight will undergo changes in both date and opponent.
Zamorano, who made history by winning the WBC interim atomweight title in June after defeating Japanese fighter Mika Iwakawa, was set to face Thai boxer Sothia Sitthichai.
However, for reasons not yet specified, the bout will not take place as planned.
At just 17 years old, the Mexican fighter continues her training while her team works to set a new date and opponent. With an undefeated record of 12 wins, including 1 by knockout, Camila reaffirms her commitment to stay active and solidify her position as one of the brightest prospects in women’s boxing.
