Plenty of give and take, plus dishing it out in the offing and for offering, when Gabriela “Bonita” Sanchez defends her WBC silver flyweight title for the third time, on this occasion against South African Simangele Hadebe in Puebla on April 4 at the Ignacio Zaragoza stadium.
All funds raised for the fight will go to the DIF (National System for the Integral Development of the Family) State Maternity Home and to the Mental Health Home for children and adolescents.
This was announced at a press conference by the governor of Puebla, Alejandro Armenta Mier.
Gabriela Sanchez, apart from her boxing activity, is the head of the Secretary of Sports and Youth. These projects are part of the initiatives promoted by “Bonita” Sanchez.
The DIF project will have 24 beds, dormitories for family members, obstetric emergency room, as well as the first hearing screening, ophthalmologic, hip dysplasia and more.
The Casa de Salud Mental for children and adolescents project will be the Mental Health Center for children and youth, where support will be given to children with mental disorders, as well as to prevent the use of illicit substances and suicidal thoughts.
