Israel “Azulito” Ramirez successfully defended his NABF super bantamweight title for the first time, KO’ing Venezuelan Edixon Pérez with a mighty one punch straight left in round four.
The much taller Israel controlled much of the action with his ramrod southpaw right jab, keeping Edixon at distance, charging in, mostly missing and getting countered. Israel was pot shotting, but boxing conservatively looking for openings. The crowd were starting to grow restive.
The instant the opening occured, Israel landed a laser left to the head, Edixon crumpled to the canvass and the Referee instantly waved it off as he lay sprawled.
Time to triumphantly display a large Mexican flag and take lots of photos. After all this was a snap win, via a picture perfect punch.
