“Barby” won`t permit or allow  any give and take or smash and grab!

WBC female bantamweight champion Mariana ‘Barby’ Juarez, grimly and single mindedly continues preparing for the eighth defense of the crown, on June 15 at the Plaza de la Mexicanidad in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua; versus the talented Diana ‘Bonita’ Fernandez.

No snacking or slacking, as Mariana is fully involved in the planning of the fight, both with her team and with her nutritionist. Mariana is marking but certainly not celebrating two years as the  WBC bantam champion, after conquering the belt in the Zocalo of Mexico City, dethroning African Catherine Phiri. And she`s in no mood to banter about who`s going to regally win this upcoming fight!

“My moment is right now!   ‘Bonita’ will have to wait to be a world champion. I`m  the hierarchy and I`m going to dish out a boxing lesson. I have a hundred percent winning mentality. I`ve always been a woman of challenges, both inside and outside the ring, and I take this fight with the seriousness that it merits because there is no small or easy rival. I`m up against an opponent who`s pushing hard for my championship, but she`s not going to take it,” Mariana  bluntly declared and glared!
