
The World Boxing Council and World Boxing Organization Super Flyweight Champion, American Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez, KO’d the Argentinian and now former world champion Fernando “Puma” Martinez, to also seize the World Boxing Association title, at the ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
“Bam” Rodriguez delivered a boxing masterclass, fighting with intelligence, speed, and ruthless precision. In the tenth round, Bam slipped a right hand from Martinez, and landed a powerful left cross, which dropped him like a stone.
“Puma” valiantly tried to get up, but the blow he suffered was pinpoint crushing . He was simply unable to get to his feet, while listening to the count of Referee Edward Collantes. The end of the fight came at 1:25 minutes of the 10th round.
With this forthright victory, the now WBC, WBO, and WBA Super Flyweight Champion, “Bam” Rodriguez, improved his record to 23-0, with 16 knockouts, while “Puma” Martinez slipped to 18-1, with 9 knockouts.
