World Boxing Council super flyweight champion Jesse “Bam” Rodríguez, will defend his title against legendary twice former world champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, on Saturday, June 25 at the Tech Port Arena in San Antonio, Texas, beamed globally by DAZN.
Rodriguez (15-0, 10 KOs) will make the first defense of the belt he impressively won in February, defeating ex world champion Carlos Cuadras to become the youngest reigning champion in just 15 professional bouts.
“Bam” Rodríguez will face rugged 35-year-old Sor Rungvisai (50-5-1, 43 KOs), who has a chance of turning twice into thrice, having won it in 2013 and then recovered it against Román “Chocolatito” González three years later.
Rodríguez has undergone a great preparation, because he knows how dangerous the former Thai champion is.
As part of this great card, the undisputed welterweight champion Jessica ‘CasKilla’ McCaskill will face Alma ‘The Conquerer’ Ibarra. In addition, the long-awaited rematch between WBC flyweight champion Julio César Martínez and Puerto Rican McWilliams Arroyo will take place.
