The super flyweight champion of the World Boxing Council, the American Jesse “Bam” Rodríguez, will defend his title against the former Thai world champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, Saturday June 25 at the Tech Port Arena in San Antonio, Texas, transmitted by DAZN, leading an action-packed card.
Rodriguez (15-0, 10 KOs) will make the first defense of the belt he impressively won in February, defeating former world champion Carlos Cuadras to become the youngest reigning champion in his 15 professional bouts.
“Bam” Rodríguez will face a hero of his homeland in 35-year-old Sor Rungvisai (50-5-1, 43 KOs), who has a chance to hold aloft the coveted Green and Gold Belt for the third time, having won it in 2013 and then recovered it against Román “Chocolatito” González three years later.
Both fighters are in the final stages of their preparation and are reported to be in excellent shape for this riveting fight.
