Former WBC super featherweight champion Francisco “Bandido” Vargas came to the WBC weekly conference to announce that his number one ambition is to rematch current division champion Miguel Berchelt, who last Saturday looked spectacularly hammered out a defence of  his crown against the tough but outgunned Mickey Roman.

Francisco has stated that other bodies have come to offer him a title fight. However, he`s crystal clear in saying that he`s loyal to the green and gold colors, and therefore he won`t  accept any other offer!

In calm measured tones, he said: “I`ve always been ready to face anyone, throughout my career,  I`ve shown that I am a fighter who doesn`t  fear anyone at all.   I`m here waiting and listening  to offers. Of course I want to face Berchelt again, because I know I can beat him and recover the title. I have built a reputation in the US  and I have the boxing quality for this fight, but it`s not what I decide, rather it`s  our promoters.

“I do not rule out a fight with Eduardo Hernández; however, we have to reach a good agreement, and a big bag of money!”
