Award in memory of Don Jose`s extraordinary lifetime of achievements

Michel Salomon, Jill Diamond and José Martín Sulaiman attended the USA Olympic Alumni Gala in Lake Charles, Louisiana, where there were posthumous lifetime achievements awards for Don Jose Sulaiman and  Senator John McCain.

Don Jose`s eldest son José Martín Sulaiman gave a magnificent acceptance speech and he, together with USA Boxing President Tyson Lee, spoke of Don Jose’s many and caring accomplishments in safety, bonded by his determination in helping our amateurs.

The next day  the Olympic trials began,  culminating in another wonderful accomplishment.

This is a true, tangible  and lasting legacy of the Great  Don Jose!
