Asley Gonzalez, proud Green and Gold Champion

With the Green and Gold Belt around her waist, the new super flyweight world champion Asley Gonzalez insists she is going to have a long reign.

With the joy  of having being presented by Mr. Mauricio Sulaimán with the belt she won by defeating Lourdes Juárez in a great fight, Asley assured that this day is like a dream.

The brand  new monarch confessed to having felt awed by facing a champion of Lourdes Juárez`s stature.  But  she always repeated to herself that she had everything to win and show what she is made of.

Grateful to God, her team, her family, and the WBC, Asley showed no objection to giving Lulu the rematch.

“I came from nowhere and took the belt from the Champ, but today I am the champion of the most important organization and nobody is going to take away for what I worked so hard for. It’s my time, the era of Asley González has arrived ”-she commented-

For Mr. Sulaimán, Asley is the example that perseverance, hard work and patience offers rewards and that everything comes at the right time.

He added that Asley, like all the WBC champions and former champions, is an example of struggle, perseverance  and the pride of the organization. In order to continue promoting women’s boxing, the leader offered to find an opportunity for the rematch fight to be in the United States. 

As, he assured that a fight like the one they gave deserves to be seen by all the world.
