World title contender Anthony Yarde lost his grandmother and father, both due the Covid-19 coronavirus, so he was urging society to observe isolation and not take this terrible pandemic lightly.
Yarde, 28 years old, with a professional record of 19-1 and 18 knockouts, commented on his social networks: “My dad and his mom fell just a few days apart. This is serious. People keep going out without having the need I know there are many opinions about the Covid-19 and I have my own, but I know it’s not worth risking your life and the lives of others. Stay home.”
The World Boxing Council and its President, Mauricio Sulaimán Saldívar, send Anthony’s family and friends their deepest condolences.
