Angela Nolasco ready for first Silver defense

In November of last year, Angela Nolasco surprised the world of boxing, after defeating the then Silver flyweight champion, Jacky Calvo, on the cards.

Today, Angela will return to the ring defending her silver fly crown for the first time.

The fight will take place in the Villa Flamingos Hall in the Portales neighborhood and as a rival she will have the tough Gaby Sánchez. The show will be broadcast on ESPN Knockout.

Gaby Sanchez:

“I appreciate fighting against a great champion and I am going to arrive well prepared. It will be a great fight.”

Angela Nolasco:

I`ve fought against rivals taller than me, so it’s not new. I`ve  sparred with tall boxers. Gabriela is strong always comes forward and that is how the fight will be.

Both passed the official weigh-in registering exactly the same.
