The talented bantamweight boxer and former WBC International champion from Pakistan Kash Farooq, has been forced to hang up the gloves at the age of 26, due to issues related to his health.
Kash was preparing for a rematch against Scotsman Lee McGregor, but the surprise decision was confirmed, although he did not leave the sport, as he is part of his team at St Andrew’s Sporting Club in Scotland.
Thursday night, an evening in honor of Farooq will be held at St Andrew’s Sporting Club, where there will be exciting fights between young boxing promises, and of course Kash Farooq will be present.
Kash will be at the head table to reflect on his boxing career and plans for the future. There will also be live music and a raffle for amazing prizes. All proceeds will go to Farooq.
The World Boxing Council sends an affectionate greeting to our champion Kash Farooq; and wishes St Andrew’s Sporting Club a successful and memorable evening.
