WBC light flyweight champion Kenshiro “The Amazing Boy” Teraji and WBO champion Jonathan “Bomba” González will clash in a 12 round battle that will bring the winner one step closer to becoming the undisputed king of the division at the Ariake Arena in Koto-Ku, Japan on April 8.
Teraji (20-1, 12 KOs) captured his first world championship when he defeated Ganigan Lopez for the WBC 108-pound belt.
Teraji made eight successful defenses before losing by TKO in the tenth round to Masamichi Yabuki. The feisty 31-year-old avenged his loss by knocking out Yabuki in the third round of their rematch to regain the title.
Teraji then scored the most impressive victory of his career last November by knocking out Hiroto Kyoguchi in the seventh round to unify the WBC and WBA championships.
Kenshiro is undergoing a rugged training camp at the Misako Boxing Gym, determined to dominate his Puerto Rican rival.
The fight will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
