World Boxing Council featherweight champion Amanda Serrano, from Puerto Rico, will defend her title against the WBC super bantamweight champion, Yamileth “Yeimi” Mercado, next Sunday, August 29 in Cleveland, Ohio, in an evening that will be broadcast on pay for event Showtime.
Serrano, considered one of the finest and most accomplished boxers in the world, has a record of 40 wins with 30 knockouts, 1 loss and 1 draw. “Yeimi” has 18 wins with 5 knockouts and 2 losses.
Serrano is meticulously preparing in Puerto Rico, fully aware that this challenge comes from another reigning world champion.
This attractive duel between Mexico and Puerto Rico will be the main event of the evening with Jake Paul (3-0-0) leading the bill, against the Mixed Martial Arts champion, Tyron Woodley.
