All set for Canelo vs Golovkin

Third epic clash poised between superstar big hitters Saul “Canelo” Álvarez and Gennadiy Golovkin.

The fight is at the T-Mobile Arena and at stake will be the undisputed title of the 168 pounds of Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez.

It is expected that this will be the defining duel of what is already considered one of the best trilogies in contemporary boxing.

“Canelo” and “GGG” tied in their first duel held in September 2017. The following year, also in September, the Mexican managed to snatch the middleweight crowns from GGG.

Today the official weigh-in of the evening took place. Canelo weighed 167.4 pounds, while GGG was  167.8 pounds.

The winner of this fight will take home the WBC “Guerrero Jaguar Zapoteca” commemorative belt, the result of joint work between the government of Oaxaca, the World Boxing Council, Cleto Reyes and the artists of Taller Jacobo and María Ángeles.
