Akrem Aouina crowned WBC International Silver champion

Akrem Aouina outpointed a brave and undefeated Nicholas Esposito with judges’ scores of 99-91, 99-92, 100-90.

Aouina got off to a blistering start, attacking Esposito with both hands and with excellent movement in the ring.

With his southpaw style, he used his long right jab as the punch that dictated the pace of the fight.

Esposito tried to chase down an opponent who was moving well in the ring, but Aouina’s counterpunches made the difference in the fight.

Esposito gave it all he had and never gave up, but he could do very little against the Tunisian who was in excellent form.

Akrem, with former WBC world champion Giacobbe Fragomeni as his cornerman, captured the WBC International Silver welterweight title.

In another important fight, Dario Morello successfully defended his WBC Mediterranean Middleweight title by defeating Felice Moncelli by decision.
