A round of applause for Legends of Boxing at the Mexican Senate

Veni, vidi, vici!  As Boxing is the sport which has given the most laurels, garlands, plaudits  and satisfaction to Mexico, legends of yesteryear, current  and future stars are lauded and applauded at Mexico`s Senate. 

With the attendance of Jorge “Travieso” Arce, Rafael Márquez, Fernando “Kochul” Montiel,  Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz, David “Rey” Picasso, Irma “Güerita” Sánchez and many other stars, the event took place in the Session Hall, where all the fighters  shared their legions of victories.  

Together and united, they agreed the dedication boxing requires and demands is instrumental in helping children to stay on the straight and narrow, avoiding easy street:  “I tell my children that school and sports are the only important things for them,” said Rafa Márquez. At the time when Isaac Cruz asked that “We all do our bit to instill sports in the new generations, be it boxing or soccer. Whatever they want to actively participate in,  is for their good.”

Among the legends honored there were Lupe Pintor, Pipino Cuevas; José Angel Nápoles and Ultiminio Ramos (RIP), in addition to Francisco Vargas, Miguel Angel González, Esmeralda Moreno, Carlos Cuadras, Rey Vargas, Juan Hernández, Sonia Osorio, Lupita Martínez, Irma García, Marylin Badillo, María Elena Villalobos, Alberto Ruiz, Irma Sánchez, David Picasso, Isaac Cruz, Rafael Márquez, Jorge Arce and Erika Cruz.
