A MUST for the WBC judges, referees and supervisors to be vaccinated against COVID-19

This morning after two weeks, the WBC resumed the traditional “Coffee Tuesdays” via zoom where our President Mauricio Sulaimán, offered a virtual welcome to all colleagues from the specialized press and guests.

Mauricio Sulaiman made a very important announcement. Starting  in August, it will be mandatory for all judges, referees and supervisors who are appointed for a fight sanctioned by the WBC to present their vaccination card with the complete scheme.

He says that this measure is taken as a commitment and an act of responsibility with the boxing community, as it is important to raise awareness and set an example that vaccines against COVID-19, to prevent people become seriously ill or die from complications of this disease.

He added that it is important to clarify that all vaccines are safe and it is important that all people get vaccinated because in this way it is more difficult for the virus to spread when many people in a community are immune, thanks to the application of the vaccine. That is to say: the greater the volume of vaccinated people, the lower the contagion rate.

 The responsibility of being vaccinated is an act of LOVE & SOLIDARITY, because it is not only to think individually but about others and today we have the opportunity to reinforce this, to fight this invisible enemy that causes such harm.
