A day like today, Russian Konstantin Tszyu defended his WBC belt

February 3rd, 2001.- Born in the then Soviet Union, and Australian naturalized, Konstantin Tszyu, defended his WBC super lightweight championship with an impressive TKO in seven rounds against American, Sharmba Mitchell. The bout took place at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas. The third man in the ring was Joe Cortez. The Judges were Daniel Van de Wiele, Chuck Giampa and Keith MacDonald.
