A day like today, Oscar De La Hoya defeated Fernando “Feroz” Vargas

Oscar De La Hoya and Fernando “Feroz” Vargas clashed at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.  Oscar won by TKO in a tumultuous eleventh round, retaining his WBC super welterweight championship. The third man in the ring  was Joe Cortez. While the Judges were Paul Smith, Doug Tucker and Patricia Morse Jarman.
