The WBC & Conexión Facil 2.0 sign a strategic alliance

Thanks to the efforts of the World Boxing Council, chaired by Mauricio Sulaimán Saldivar, today an agreement has been signed with Dr. Andrew Kluger Gerber, President of the Board of Directors of Conexion Facil.

It helps make available to the community of boxing the digital application “Conexión Fácil 2.0”.

This agreement will allow the boxing community to have access to health care through tools available in the Conexión Fácil app, such as: weight registration, fight history, injury monitoring, among other applications.

Following the foundations of Don José Sulaimán, today we take another step towards the care and protection of boxers…those who enter the ring with the specific purpose of achieving glory and providing better opportunities for their loved ones.

“Fate brought us to meet Andrew, a wonderful person dedicated to serving others. He is an amazing person with a great team.

“Everything originated from the concern around the weigh-ins. Weight is enemy number one in our sport. Making weight is a sacrifice of one, two or even three months. The effect on the body, dehydration, loss of encephalic fluid, are conditions that can lead a fighter to enter the ring in suboptimal conditions.

“The WBC has created protocols such as pre-weighings, change of weighing to official at 24 hours, among others. 

“Now, through the alliance with Conexion Facil, we give a new step towards security as it will be prioritized to take control of all fighters weight in their respective division, regardless of whether or not they have upcoming commitments.

“This will be a gigantic task and it will be sought to be mandatory by 2024, for champions and the first fifteen ranked fightrs. This with the firm objective of monitoring their ideal weight so that they do not experience inhumane conditions on the way to a fight.”
