The WBC lauds Daddy Yankee

Puerto Rican Raymond Ayala “Daddy Yankee” has had a successful artistic career for more than 30 years, however, in 2022 he decided to end his musical career with a farewell concert tour called “La Última Vuelta World Tour” which demonstrated because he is considered one of the greatest exponents of reggaeton.

The World Boxing Council recognized Daddy Yankee with a world champion belt for his contribution to popular culture and his promotion of boxing, since in addition to being a great artist he has been a great promoter of the sport.

Raymond commented on his social networks: “Since I was a little boy, boxing was part of my training. I always dreamed of winning a championship title and I saw it far from my goals due to the trauma I suffered in my right leg. This dream that seemed impossible, today, the child who still lives in me can witness it in life, and I am not lying to you, it means a lot to me”.
