David Benavidez wins interim WBC super middleweight title in three

David ‘Bandera Roja’ Benavidez finished the fight punishing the Canadian David Lemieux, to claim the interim WBC Super Middleweight title, at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona.

‘Red Flag’ needed just three rounds to finish veteran David Lemieux in a blitz.

In the first round, Benavidez had already opened a cut on Lemieux’s left eyelid and came close to finishing him, but the bell rang.

In the second round, Benavídez connected hard on Lemieux’s face to send him to the canvas.

Benavidez landed another lightning frightening combination in the third round and forced the Ref to intervene.
