
Former world champion Tony Harrison fights Spaniard Sergio “El Niño” Garcia for the World Boxing Council Silver super welterweight title tomorrow night at the Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas.
Harrison (28-3-1, 23 KOs) had his most recent fight in April 2021 against Bryant Perrella. It was a split decision draw. Prior to this, he faced Jermell Charlo in 2018, whom he defeated on points. But lost the rematch.
Garcia (33-1, 14 KO) returns to the United States after losing on December 5 to Sebastian Fundora by unanimous decision, in a disputed eliminatory fight for the WBC super welterweight world title.
Both fighters satisfactorily made it through the weigh-in this afternoon. Harrison posted 153.4 pounds, while Garcia was 152.6 pounds.
The main fight on the card will be Erickson Lubin vs. Sebastian Fundora, who will clash for the interim WBC super welterweight title.
The card presented by Premier Boxing Champions (PBC), which will begin at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT and will be broadcast live on SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING.
