
Tony Bellew says goodbye
Tony “Bomber” Bellew, who held the Cruiserweight title of the World Boxing Council from 2016 to 2017, has officially announced his retirement.
After a long and successful career, which was one of the best latest British boxing talents Tony decided to hang up his gloves.
“First of all, thank you very much for all the support I have had over the years and all the support that the fans have given me, from the negative detractors to the most faithful of the fans, thank you very much. Today I am announcing that I’m officially retired, there will be no more fights for me.
“I had a fantastic career and made my dreams come true, and on May 29, 2016, my biggest dream came true, I became the World Boxing Council Cruiserweight Champion at Goodison Park. It’s now time to say Goodbye.”
The World Boxing Council and its President Mauricio Sulaiman, wish Anthony great success in his life, his future plans and ventures.
