Yamileth Mercado readies for Chihuahua challenge by Zulina “La Loba” Muñoz

Super bantamweight champion of the World Boxing Council, Yamileth Mercado, will defend her crown on April 2 against the experienced former world champion Zulina “Loba” Muñoz, at a venue to be defined in Chihuahua, Mexico.

The champion Yamileth, who has shown great courage in the ring, is undergoing a tough and demanding preparation, as she wants to bounce back from the loss she suffered against Amanda Serrano, after moving up to featherweight to challenge her last year.

Zulina comes to this fight after falling in a tough battle against Dina Thorslund in Denmark last November. The 34-year-old “Loba” is on the training trail, because her greatest wish is to hunt down the championship.
