Champion Mark Magsayo visited WBC LA office

We had the honor of hosting our new Featherweight Champion Mark “Magnifico” Magsayo and his wife Frances at the WBC Los Angeles office. What was a visit to see the office and acquire a champion’s shirt, turned into a gathering full of surprises, first of all, we realized that Mark did not receive a WBC medal when he won the fight against “Pollito” Ceja, it was an eliminatory bout to face the champion Garry Russell Jr. and José Martín Sulaimán (Pepe) made the official delivery of the medal, likewise, we gave him a coin with the photograph of our President for Life, José Sulaimán Chagnón and Mark was moved with the explanation of what Don Jose did for world boxing. Later he received the video call from President Mauricio Sulaimán to express his gratitude for being so loyal to the Green and Gold and Mark showed him his medal with total pride. A moving moment was when we showed him the first edition of the Green and Gold Belt, he saw it, put it on, kissed it and took many pictures.

The WBC offices in Mexico and Los Angeles are the home of world boxers who want to know more about what the World Boxing Council is, in them we receive the fighters as what they are, the absolute champions and they are the only reason, so we work and strive for your well-being. When a boxer is present, champion or not, he becomes the recipient of all our attention.
