Srisaket Sor Rungvisai and Carlos Cuadras will reignite their intense rivalry with the WBC super flyweight belt on the line at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona on Saturday, February 5, live worldwide on DAZN.
The two first clashed in May 2014 for the same title, with Cuadras claiming the crown via technical decision after an accidental crack of heads.
There is even more than just the WBC crown at stake for Rungvisai (50-5-1 43 KOs) and Cuadras (39-4-1 27 KOs), as the winner will fight the winner of the March clash between Juan Francisco “Gallo” Estrada and Román ‘Chocolatito’ González “Thrillogy Trilogy,” which catapults the 115-pound division to dizzying heights.
Rungvisai heads into the fight with three wins in Thailand after his clash with Estrada, where he lost the WBC crown. Should he win, the 35-year-old Srisaket would hold aloft the Green and Gold Belt for the third time.
“Srisaket Vs Carlos promises to be another brilliant battle for the super flyweight world title,” said promoter Eddie Hearn. “Carlos outboxed Srisaket in his first fight seven years ago, and I have no doubt this will be a real war for the fans to savor.”
Tickets for the undercard, which will be broadcast live on DAZN, are on sale now at ticketmaster.com.
