The unified light heavyweight champion of the World Boxing Council and the International Boxing Federation, Russian Artur Beterbiev, will defend his titles against the American, Marcus Browne, tomorrow Friday at the “Bell Center” in Montreal, Canada.
This Thursday, the official weigh-in took place, with the Russian Beterbiev marking 175.2 pounds on his first attempt, that is, 0.2 pounds above the weight limit.
The authorities of the local Boxing Commission gave Beterbiev 2 hours to lose that little excess weight, and he complied by returning after an hour to mark 175 pounds.
In the case of Marcus Browne, he had no problems and stopped the scale at 174.6 pounds, on his first attempt, leaving everything ready for this 12-round clash.
Promoted by Top Rank in association with GYM Promotions, the card will be televised on ESPN +.
