Commemorating the “Year of Boxing 2021” we remember today as the 19th anniversary that Don José Sulaimán was inducted into the Latin American International Sports Hall of Fame, in Laredo, Texas.
Don José was recognized for his outstanding work, always serving with dedication, creating and shaping monumental and historical changes of enormous importance in medicine, while constantly improving the rules, ensuring that boxing would become a more humane sport.
Don José gave boxing a new face, going from a spectacle stained and scarred with violence and extreme danger to what it is today, with suitably combined fights, governed by rules of vigilance and care that protect at all times those who courageously step into the ring to fight.
