Taylor and Persoon ready for rematch fireworks!

The undisputed lightweight world champion, undefeated Irish Katie Taylor, will face former champion, Delfine Persoon, this Saturday, August 22, in a tensely awaited rematch, at the “Matchroom Fight Camp”, in Brentwood, Essex, UK.

They clashed in June of last year, in a highly contested fight that Taylor won by majority decision, with an advantage of only two points on two of the cards, drawing the third.

At the official weigh-in on Friday, Taylor registered 134.3 pounds while Persoon made 132.7 pounds.
The fight is promoted by Matchroom Boxing, and will be broadcasted by SKY in the UK, by DAZN in the USA and by ESPN in Latin America.
