A day like today Roger Mayweather defended his WBC belt

March 24^th, 1988.- Roger Mayweather, uncle of the current undefeated Floyd Mayweather, defended his WBC super lightweight crown defeating Mexican Mauricio Aceves by TKO at the 23 seconds mark of the third round. The bout took place at the Sports Arena in Los Angeles. The Referee was Chuck Hassett. The Judges were, Dave Brown, Tomatsu Tomihara and Francisco Manzano.
