World Boxing Council super flyweight champion, Juan Francisco “Gallo” Estrada, could grant a rematch to his compatriot Carlos Cuadras for next April 25 or May 16.
The champion would return to the ring in April 25 in the United States or May 16 in Mexico, and the most repeated name for his second defense is “Prince” Cuadras.
Estrada faced Cuadras for the first time on September 9, 2017 at the StubHub Center in Carson, California, winning a unanimous decision victory with identical 114-113 cards.
Estrada is currently recovering from an injury in one of his hands, and for that reason his return has been delayed; Estrada had agreed to a unification fight with Briton Khalid Yafai, but the plans fell through due to the injury.
Estrada’s last fight was on August 28 at the CUM in Hermosillo, Sonora, where he defended his championship for the first time against American Dewayne Beamon, whom he knocked out in the ninth round.
