
Héctor Sulaimán Jr. was invited by Pope Francis to visit a surf school in Mozambique, which was named after his grandfather.
After celebrating the morning Mass in private at the Apostolic Nunciature in Mozambique, Pope Francis had a meeting with young people responsible for leading Scholas Foundation, which His Holiness has created and developed.
The young people who participated with the Holy Father, carried out various activities, especially in the field of sport and coordinated cooperation.
This is the first visit of a Pope to Africa. The Holy Father shared with the young people of Scholas some memories of his childhood in Buenos Aires, showing those present the importance of work and sports.
Among the young people gathered, he highlighted the presence of a young entrepreneur, with a humanist profile. Héctor Sulaimán de la Rosa was invited by Pope Francis, to visit the Surf school in Mozambique. School that was named “José Sulaimán” in honor of a Truly Great and forever memorable man.
“It is a true honor that this school bears the name of my Grandfather, who with so much effort and commitment, through boxing fought for the equality and dignity of human beings,” Hector said, who is a very active young man at the Scholas Occurrentes Foundation program, which seeks to support young people to form a better world.
