Emblematic challenge for “Red Flag”

On September 28 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, WBC super middleweight champion  Anthony “The Dog” Dirrell (33-1-1, 24 KOs) will fight undefeated Mexican former world champion, David ” Red Flag ”Benavidez (21-0, 18 knockouts).

Dirrell comes from conquering the super middle title by defeating Turkish Avni Yildirim by a technical decision, in a fight in Minnesota.

Benavidez, who already held the WBC crown, reappeared after more than a year of inactivity defeating J’Leon Love by KO.

This match will be part of the unification clash between the 140-pound champions, Shawn Porter and Errol Spence Jr.
