The World Boxing Council celebrates the career and social impact of our featherweight world champion, Tiara Brown, an athlete who personifies excellence both inside and outside the ring.
Recently, the community commemorated the historic April 16th, the date on which the Mayor of Fort Myers, Florida, Randy Henderson, presented her with the Keys to the City and officially proclaimed “Tiara Brown Day.” This recognition not only honored her sporting success, but also her invaluable work as a police officer and her commitment to the safety and well-being of her community.
Tiara Brown is not a champion by chance; her foundation was built in elite amateur boxing as part of the USA Boxing Alumni, where she established herself as a World Gold Medalist and Three-Time National Champion. That dedication and refined technique were precisely what led her to the pinnacle of professional boxing.
The moment that defined Tiara’s exulted status as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters, occurred in her epic battle against the Australian Skye Nicolson. In a titanic duel , Brown stood and delivered a boxing masterclass, neutralizing Nicolson’s Olympic style, to take away her undefeated record and capture the WBC World Featherweight Title. That night, the Green and Gold belt found in Brown a monarch worthy of its history.
In her most recent defense, Tiara reaffirmed why she is the empress of the 126-pound division. Facing a top-tier challenger, Brown demonstrated impeccable boxing maturity, controlling the tempo and punishing with precision to retain her crown.
With the guidance of Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) combined with the unwavering support of the WBC and its President, Mauricio Sulaimán, Tiara Brown has become a gold standard for female empowerment. Her story inspires new generations of young women to understand that one can be a guardian of the law and, at the same time as an impressive world champion.
