It was a profound honor for Ruby’s school to host a special visit from WBC Deputy Director Victor Silva, who presented the WBC Young Champions Belt to our newly appointed WBC Cares Ambassador, Ruby Bulner. This landmark occasion was a moment of immense pride for Ruby, her family, and the entire school community.
During the assembly, Victor spoke to the students about the core values the school upholds daily: courage, kindness, discipline, resilience, and respect. He illustrated how the sport of boxing is built upon these very same pillars, a message that resonated deeply and immediately with the children.
“Champions are not defined by trophies,” Victor shared with the students. “They are defined by their values—how they treat others, how they confront challenges, and their unwavering commitment to keep moving forward.”
The children were fully captivated, engaging in a spirited Q&A session and absorbing every word of a conversation that was as warm as it was motivational. It was a truly impactful experience for these young minds.
By the conclusion of the visit, the energy throughout the school was electric. Inspired and empowered, many students expressed an eager interest in taking up boxing to begin their own journeys of discipline and growth.
A truly historic and unforgettable day for our school.
Sincerely,
Samantha Bulner – WBC Cares
