1972.- Mexican Ricardo Arredondo defeated Costa Rican Isaac Marín by decision in 15 rounds, in Heredia, Costa Rica, defending his WBC super featherweight crown.
1984.- American Billy Costello knocked out his compatriot Bruce Curry in 10 rounds in Beaumont, Texas, to win the green and gold WBC title in the 140-pound division.
1994.- American Frankie Randall gave the first defeat of his career to Mexican Julio César Chávez, at the MGM in Las Vegas, Nevada. With this victory, Randall won the WBC super lightweight title.
1994.- Jamaican Simon Brown defeated Australian Troy Waters by decision in Las Vegas, Nevada, to defend his WBC super welterweight title for the third time.
1999.- “Lince de Parla” Javier Castillejo was crowned WBC super welterweight champion by defeating the Jamaican living in the United States, Keith Mullings. The fight took place at the Plaza de Toros La Cubierta in Leganes, Spain.
2005.- Thai Pongsaklek Wonjongkam retained his WBC flyweight title by knocking out Japanese Noriyuki Komatsu in 5 rounds in Osaka, Japan.
2006.- Japanese Takashi Koshimoto won the WBC featherweight title, defeating Korean Injin Chi by decision in 12 rounds, in a fight held in Fukuoka, Japan.
2011.- Timothy Bradley won the WBC super lightweight title by winning by technical decision in 10 rounds against Devon Alexander, in a fight held in Pontiac, Michigan.
2022.- Congolese Ilunga Makabu defeated South African Thabiso Mchunu in a close rematch to defend his WBC cruiserweight title. The fight took place in Warren, Ohio.
