Rising Star Carlos Elvira Receives WBC Belt

Carlos Elvira defeated Amil Roldon by knockout in the eighth round on November 22 in Belize, capturing the FECARBOX lightweight title.

The Veracruz fighter  holds a record of 11-2 with 9 KOs.

Carlos Elvira said: “A few months ago I came to Martes de Café and watched from afar, thinking that one day I would step forward as a guest. I didn’t think it would happen so quickly, but I am so very happy.”

Mauricio Sulaimán added: “Going abroad and bringing back a victory for Mexico is something that makes us very proud, and I hope this is the first of many belts.”
