Caroline Dubois made a useful US debut with Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions, earning a unanimous decision victory over Camilla Panatta at the Kaseya Center in Miami.
Dubois (12-0-1, 5 KOs) successfully defended her WBC lightweight title with a dominant performance, showcasing her impressive skill set. Despite not having fought since March, the Briton didn’t skip a beat, taking control from the first round by landing a powerful right hand early on. From that point, her dominance was total.
Dubois’ superior movement and footwork made it difficult for Panatta (8-3-1, 1 KO) to land significantly or frequently. While the Italian challenger showed bravery plus tenacity and tried to force the action, Dubois moved exceptionally well, gliding through the fight. All three judges scored the bout 99-90 in favor of…Dubois.
