Oleksandr Hrystiev Defends WBC Francophone Heavyweight Title
The heavyweight champion, Oleksandr Hrystiev, successfully defended his WBC Francophone title after defeating his challenger, Serhiy Radchenko, by technical knockout (TKO) in the second round of their bout held in Lviv, Ukraine.
The contest, which was expected to be competitive, turned out to be one-sided from the opening bell. Hrystiev demonstrated his superiority and punching power, completely dominating the action. The champion set a relentless pace that Radchenko could not match.
The fight culminated prematurely in the second round when Hrystiev cornered his opponent, forcing the referee to intervene and stop the contest.
Serhiy Radchenko’s performance was labeled as disappointing by several analysts present, who noted that the challenger appeared unwilling to compete at the level required for a title fight.
Oleksandr Hrystiev thus retains his belt and reaffirms his status as a dominant force in his region, in the heavyweight division.
