Steve Morrow – A life of a champion who lived at its fullest and passed away in peace in the company of his loved ones.
Our dear Steve Morrow has gone into the path of No return. After facing with bravery an unexpected cancer, he received the opportunitty to live a memorable 2025 giving many of us lifetime memories in the process and inspiring many to always be positive and confident.
Steve was a policeman, married to a wonderful lady, Marcie, who we all have gotten to know and who will always be a member of the WBC family.
I remember one time during a press conference in Japan many years ago; A Japanese reporter fainted and fell hard to the ground as we all were shocked in a matter of seconds there was Marcie attending to the man and perhaps saving his life.
The Morrows were always smiling and happy, friendly and supportive. Steve will be missed but he will live in the memory of thousands around the world.
Steve was a police officer and he certainly had the looks of a tough man but at the first opportunitty we all saw a kind and gentle human being. His first WBC fight was back in 2007 and immediattely won the confidence of my dear father who always was confident to appoint him around the world.
He judged in many cities of Mexico, Japan , Canada, Thailand, Australia, China , Scotland , Congo in Africa, Ireland and many states in his beloved USA.
This year was tremendous for him as started the year officiating in Japan then participated in grand manner in the Riyadh Season WBC Boxing Grand Prix in Saudi Arabia and judged his final fight only one month ago in Texas a WBC world title fight to end a brilliant career of excellency .
May you rest in peace, your memory will be eternal my dearest Steve.
