The World Boxing Council has confirmed the participation of British welterweight Conor Benn as a special guest at its 2025 Annual Convention, which will take place in Bangkok from November 30 to December 5.
His presence will add a current and dynamic touch to an event that will gather champions, former titleholders, legends, and influential figures from the boxing world.
Heir to one of the most recognized families in British boxing, Benn (24 wins, 14 knockouts; 1 loss) has carved out his own identity in the ring thanks to his controlled aggressiveness, explosive speed, and ability to adjust, subtlety and brilliantly.
Despite having faced controversy outside the ring, his name continues to generate global interest, and his most recent return has once again positioned him as a serious contender in the welterweight division.
Standing 1.73 m tall with a 68-inch reach, Benn is known for his constant pressure and his willingness to exchange punches at close range. His fan-friendly style has made him one of the most followed fighters in the United Kingdom, with large-scale events and rivalries that have captured international media attention.
The Convention will be held at the Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park, which will host technical panels, medical meetings, seminars, work sessions, and the organization’s annual awards ceremony. As in this edition, for the first time there will be joint activities between boxing and Muay Thai under the WBC banner.
Conor Benn thus joins the list of invited guests who will enhance the global gathering, offering his perspective on the current competitiveness of the welterweight and super welterweight divisions, and strengthening the WBC’s connection with the new generations of boxing.
