The World Boxing Council (WBC) joins the celebration of Mail Carrier and Postal Worker Day this November 12, paying a well-deserved tribute to these everyday heroes who, with their invaluable work, keep the hearts, minds and business nerve centers of the world connected.
On this special day for the Mexican Postal Service, the WBC proudly recalls the recent issuance of a series of commemorative postage stamps that seal the alliance between boxing and postal tradition.

These stamps, launched in conjunction with Correos de México, pay homage to the 50th Anniversary of the presidency of Don José Sulaimán Chagnón at the helm of the organization and celebrate the magnificent and historic legacy of the WBC.
The collection features images of legendary figures in world and Mexican boxing, including Don José Sulaimán and champions Muhammad Ali, Julio César Chávez, Raúl “Ratón” Macías, and Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez, thereby projecting boxing’s rich history to 192 nations around the world.

The WBC extends its most sincere gratitude to every mail carrier and postal worker for their diligent and dedicated daily effort, for delivering not only letters and packages but also emotions, news, and hope to every corner of the country.
Happy Mail Carrier Day!
