This Friday, at the Mandarin Oriental in Tokyo, Japan, the official launch was held for the fight card “Ring V: Night Of The Samurai.”
It will star the sensational Japanese fighters Naoya Inoue and Junto Nakatani. They will headline a fight card that will take place on December 27 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
It will be an evening headlined by Japanese fighters, as the best talents from that nation will be in action, including Inoue, Nakatani, Kenshiro Teraji, Taiga Imanaga, Hayato Tsutsumi, and Reito Tsutsumi.
Inoue will defend his status as the Undisputed Super Bantamweight World Champion against Mexican Alan Picasso. This will be the Japanese fighter’s fourth bout this year, a tremendous year of activity, as he knocked out the Korean Ye Joon Kim in four rounds last January, and in May, he knocked out the Mexican Ramón Cárdenas in the eighth round, despite being sent to the canvas in the second round.
In his most recent fight on September 14, Inoue defeated Murodjon Akhmadaliev by points, bringing his record to 31-0, with 27 knockouts.
Nakatani, who has just moved up to the Super Bantamweight division, will also fight the undefeated Mexican Sebastián Hernández Reyes. This will be his first fight at 122 pounds and an opportunity to confirm his long-awaited fight against Inoue in that division.
The fight card for December 27 is as follows:
Naoya Inoue vs. Alan Picasso (Super Bantamweight, Undisputed Title)
Junto Nakatani vs. Sebastián Hernández (Super Bantamweight, 12 rounds)
Willibaldo García vs. Kenshiro Teraji
